Keoladeo- Where the World Gathers
Brief – Make a promotional film to promote the city of Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
Insight – Bharatpur is a city with a diverse community. Historically ruled by a Jat king, it is home to a large Jat population, is culturally influenced by Uttar Pradesh, and also has a significant Muslim community, with everyone proudly calling Bharatpur their home. But Bharatpur is not only a home to people. It is also home to around 115 species of birds that fly here from all around the world during the nesting and breeding season. At one point, around 375 species of birds were recorded in Keoladeo National Park. During this time, birders from across the globe gather here as well. It is where the world gathers.
Big Idea – Rather than making a documentary-style promotional film, which often has limited reach, we decided to create a Hindi music video whose lyrics would tell a story of homecoming rather than simply being informational. The film would also find a home with the locals, who could proudly share it, while its universal emotion of being connected to one's soil and homeland would resonate with people everywhere.
Narrative Thought – The music video tells the story of the homecoming of birds, the birth of their young, and how Keoladeo's land becomes a school to them, a land of firsts. A place where they grow up, take their first steps, learn to fly, and eventually return. This narrative evokes nostalgia and reflects the cycle of our own lives, where we too remain connected to the place we first called home.

I was extremely fortunate to get the opportunity to work alongside Nalla Sir and Anvita Ma'am. There is so much I got to learn from them.
From Sir, I not only learned a great deal of technical knowledge but was also inspired by the fire and passion he holds for his work. He has a honed knack for storytelling. The tales he draws out of thin air from just taking a glimpse at the clips,it's crazy how he does that. Years of dedication and experience.
And Ma'am is a thorough multitasker. I still don't know how she manages to do so many things so quickly and take care of years of production data and know in which hard disk under which folder that specific clip is.And taking care of the whole back end of a shoot, the production;It's a small word, but it's maddening. She was also the sweetest to me and always made me feel at home.
